In May 1998, the Radio 21, one of the projects of our partner in Kosov@ - the Media Project-Pristina - appeared on the Internet. It was the first radio in Albanian available on a web site. In January 1999, the Radio 21 started its half-an-hour daily broadcasting on the BBC satellite.

On March 24, the premisses of the Media Project-Pristina were demolished by Serb paramilitary groups. Most of the editors and journalists managed to flee to Macedonia.

The Media Project - re-started its work from exile in Macedonia on May 16. While waiting for support to set up studio and start radio broadcasting on the waves, as well as TV production, the Media Project's Radio 21 already re-appeared on Internet. Updated news in Albanian and summaries in English are awailable. Information are gathered from various sources and presented in a manner that fulfills criteria of professional journalism.
